Just like your camera, a timer is also available on Instagram reels. Simply record, set the timer, and record reels hands-free. You can record just one reel or a series of clips on Instagram.

How to Share Instagram Reels
Once you're done recording and editing the video, it's time to tap Next to let you share your reel. Don't forget to add a caption including hashtags for more visibility. If you're not sure about your reels and prefer to edit them at a later time, simply save it as a draft.
You can share Instagram reels in two ways:
- You can share the video to your tab only, allowing your followers to access the clip. Instagram may also pick it up and feature it on Explore's page.
- Another way of sharing is through your Instagram Feed. When you choose this option, the reel also shows up in your profile, along with your photos.

Instagram Reels vs. TikTok
Instagram Reels and Tiktok are similar as they mostly have the same features. Reels have an Audio feature that users can add to their reels, while TikTok also lets its users choose from a library of sounds to improve their videos. Both also allow users to record videos at different speeds.
However, there are a few technical differences between the two. One of them is that TikTok lets users record videos for up to three minutes long. How long can Instagram reels be? With Instagram, however, you can only create 60-second videos.
TikTok also has a Stitch feature where they can clip and include scenes from other users' videos on their own. Unfortunately, Instagram still doesn't offer this feature.
When to Post Instagram Reels
When is the best time to post reels on Instagram? If you want the highest engagement, consider posting on Tuesdays at 8 AM, Thursdays at 11 AM, and Friday at 4 AM. However, keep in mind that these are for US audiences only. Find out your target audience — which country they are located in — and determine what time they're usually awake.
